Saturday to Sunday saw growth in box office collections by 20%

First Weekend collections of Force 2 are 20th Highest of 2016 which is good considering demonetization effects

First Weekend is higher than Force which collected 14 Crores in 2011 and Rocky Handsome and Akira which collected 15.75 Crores

If it were not effected so much by demonetization it might have become a decent success

Roughly Demonetization had effected the opening by 40-50%  and if everything was fine the opening day would have been 7-8 Crore

Opening day Collections of Force 2  are higher than the original Force which had an opening of 4.53 Crore in 2011

Force 2 opening is lower than Rocky handsome which had an opening of 5.13 Crore and higher than Akira's opening of 4.81 Crore

Overall First Day is 23rd Highest opening of 2016

Force 2  is an action based mass movie and its business has been severely hit by the current cash crunch due to currency exchange .

While Multiplexes and metros audiences still have debit and credit cards and they are still interested in watching movies the mass audiences are cash based and they don't have enough cash to spend money on movies.

This has meant  that box office in smaller centers is pretty much dead and this is a big drawback for Force 2 whose audience is in small towns.

The original Force had opened at 4.53 Crores in 2011 and had collected 26 Crores in its overall run just about recovering its budget.

However ,Force was well received on Television with good TRPs which probably was the reason for the remake.
