Vijayadashami festival celebrated in all five schools of Innocent Hearts
INDIA NEWS CENTRE,JALANDHAR, Vijayadashami festival was celebrated with great pomp and show in all the five schools of Innocent Hearts (Green Model Town, Loharan, Cantt.- Jandiala Road, Nurpur and Kapurthala Road). Many activities were organized on this occasion. The children were shown a puppet show in which various characters from Ramayana were enacted. Some children also came dressed like Shri Ram, Lakshman, Maa Sita and Hanuman to act as them. Students of grades IV and V played the roles of Ravana, Meghnath and Kumbhakarna through the theaterical enactment and demonstrated the victory of good over evil through war. On this occasion, a special prayer meeting was also organized, in which children presented poems on Vijayadashami festival, Ravana Dahan and also understood the importance of celebrating this festival. Students presented excerpts from Ram - Bharat Milap and Ram-Ravana war through dance drama. The enthusiasm of the children while playing all the characters was worth seeing. In every class, the teachers explained to the children that the festival of Vijayadashami gives us the message of victory of good over evil. He inspired the children to follow the teachings from the life of Maryadapurushottam Shri Ram. Deputy Director Cultural Affairs, Sharmila Nakra said that the purpose of celebrating all types of festivals in the school is to give children information about the culture of their country and to maintain respect and honor towards every religion.
